AFI’s 100 Years…100 Movies – 10th Anniversary Edition was the 2007 updated version of 100 Years… 100 Movies from 1998. There has been the suggestion that the AFI will conduct the poll every ten years to include new releases. A number of films lost their places from the 1998 list, including such classics as The Third Man, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Fantasia. Even with the loss of Close Encounters… Steven Spielberg has the most entries, 5, in the list.
