Michael Rechtshaffen is a film critic for the Los Angeles Times as well as a longtime contributor to The Hollywood Reporter. He is also a member of the L.A. Film Critics Association. Great to see that Rechtshaffen named the touching but unsentimental story of Irish immigrants trying to survive in New York City, In America as his top film of 2003.
