At the end of 2011 IndieWire named their Best Films of 2011. The poll was voted on by 162 “critics, bloggers and other tastemakers from around the world”. The Tree of Life was named best film and won the majority of year end polls for 2011. Von Trier’s Melancholia wasn’t universally admired but probably stands out as the Danish filmmakers best film of the last decade.
