In January 2015 British newspaper The Guardian published a list of the 50 best films of the decade so far, which were chosen by critic and writer, Peter Bradshaw. Bradshaw’s list is supposed to consider what trends are emerging in cinema. The films appear to be listed in no particular order.

Bradshaw has been chief film critic at The Guardian since 1999, and is a contributing editor at Esquire. He is a regular guest reviewer on the Film… programme broadcast on BBC One and has been shortlisted four times at the British Press Awards in the Critic Of The Year category, in 2001, 2007, 2013 and 2014, gaining “Highly Commended” on this last occasion.
