A depression era enforcer, Mike Sullivan (Tom Hanks) and his son seek vengeance against the son of a powerful midwestern mobster (also Sullivan’s boss) who murdered the rest of their family. While some will find it hard to accept that Hank’s upstanding husband and father character could be a cold killer, Road to Perdition is a compelling gangster drama with notable cinematography, strong performances and an emotive score.
