The Moving Art Film Journal’s 100 Greatest Movies of All Time

The list was published on www.themovingarts.com on November 13th, 2010. On the most part the list is full of the film’s you’d expect, but there are a few interesting choices. The Curse of the Cat People, the first directing credit for Robert Wise, is a surprise at no. 35 but does have real artistic merit. Released as a sequel to Cat People (although there is little relationship with the earlier film) and marketed as a horror, it struggled at the box office but its reputation as a visually stunning psychological fantasy has grown throughout the years.
